Jon Daou is the product of a life of musical obsession. Composing since the age of 12, he went on to study as a composer at the Purcell School, before majoring in Composition and Electronic Music at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Jon's passions for collaboration in film, theatre and dance have paid off. Today, known for his uniquely versatile expertise, Jon is called upon to bring all manner of projects to life with his music.

Notable works include live electronic film scores performed at the Barbican cinema, scoring for a fashion film, narrated by Stephen Fry & screened at festivals worldwide, a soundtrack for a play directed by Richard Twyman (Royal Shakespeare Company), and multiple commissions for award-winning film production outfit Motion Picture House. Jon's contemporary classical works have been performed at venues such as the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Barbican Club Stage, the Wigmore Hall, the Southbank Centre's Clore Ballroom and the Louise T. Blouin Institute, by players from the London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, BBC Symphony Orchestra and a host of other premium musicians from around the world.

Alongside his main creative work, Jon teaches group courses in film music, composition and music production, as well as tutoring pupils on an individual basis. Science and technology are enduring interests, informing much of Jon's work and technical exploration, whilst fostering an ever-broadening spectrum of approaches to making music and collaborating with others effectively.
